Description
The 8-channel Bi-directional Logic Level Converter - TXB0108 is designed for safely converting signals from 5V to 3.3V and vice versa, supporting up to 8 channels. It features an auto-detect function for direction, making it ideal for interfacing 5V devices like Arduino with 3.3V devices such as many modern sensors and modules.
This chip provides luxurious bi-directional level shifting but is not suitable for driving LEDs or long cables. It comes as a breakout board with 0.1uF capacitors on both sides and a 10K pull-up resistor on the output enable pin for plug-and-play use.
- Supports 8 bi-directional channels
- Auto-detects signal direction
- Compatible with 3.3V and 5V devices
- Includes 0.1uF capacitors and output enable pull-up resistor
- Not suitable for strong output driving (e.g., LEDs or long cables)
- Ideal for breadboard between logic chips
Note: This logic level converter does not work well with I2C due to strong pull-ups; external pull-ups should be at least 50K ohm.
