Description
The Adafruit AS7341 10-Channel Light / Color Sensor Breakout is a multi-channel spectrometer capable of detecting the intensity of light across 8 overlapping color bands, white light, near-infrared light, and light flicker at specific frequencies.
This sensor is more precise than the human eye, offering accurate color detection for numerous applications such as identifying subtle color differences.
The AS7341 includes 16 different sensors within a compact 3x2mm footprint routed through a 16-bit 6-channel ADC with Super MUX for channel multiplexing. It also features GPIO and interrupt pins for enhanced communication.
This breakout board utilizes the STEMMA QT form factor with level shifting circuitry and SparkFun Qwiic compatible connectors for easy plug-and-play use with microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, supporting both 3.3V and 5V systems.
Included features and benefits:
- Detects 8 distinct bands of colored light plus white, near-infrared, and flicker detection sensors
- Compact 3x2mm sensor footprint with 16 sensors total
- 16-bit 6-channel ADC with Super MUX support for flexible sensor data acquisition
- GPIO and interrupt pins for direct sensor or microcontroller communication
- STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for solderless connectivity and easy integration
