Description
The Adafruit ATtiny817 Breakout is a versatile 'three in one' development board featuring the next generation ATtiny817 AVR microcontroller. It includes just enough hardware to get the chip running, integrated Adafruit seesaw firmware for extending hardware support via I2C, and STEMMA QT connectors for plug-and-play I2C compatibility.
This compact breakout board is ideal for designing with the ATtiny817, featuring an 8-bit microcontroller with 8KB flash, 512 bytes RAM, 128 bytes EEPROM, up to 20MHz internal oscillator, internal hardware multiplier, and operation from 2V to 5V power/logic.
Additional features include an onboard 3.3V regulator (selectable via solder jumper), green power LED, red indicator LED, and two STEMMA QT I2C connectors with 10K pullup resistors.
The board comes pre-programmed with Adafruit seesaw peripheral code, enabling it to function as an I2C to various peripheral converter, providing:
- 14 GPIO pins with selectable pullup resistors
- 9 x 10-bit ADC inputs
- 5 x 8-bit PWM outputs
- NeoPixel output supporting up to 60 pixels
- 127 bytes EEPROM for non-volatile storage
- Interrupt and activity LED outputs
- Configurable I2C address selection pins
It is compatible with Arduino via SpenceKonde's megaTinyCore and requires a UPDI programmer for custom programming. Please note the board does not include a bootloader.
Dimensions: 33.0mm x 12.8mm x 4.6mm; Weight: 1.1g.
