Description
The Adafruit BMP280 sensor is an advanced environmental sensor from Bosch, measuring temperature and barometric pressure with high precision. It is an upgrade to the BMP085/BMP180/BMP183 models, featuring ±1 hPa absolute accuracy for pressure and ±1.0°C for temperature. Due to its high precision in pressure measurement, it can also be used as an altimeter with ±1 meter accuracy.
This sensor supports both I2C and SPI communication protocols, making it versatile for different project needs. The compact surface-mount sensor is mounted on a custom PCB in the STEMMA QT form factor, which supports easy solderless connections via STEMMA QT connectors compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors.
The board includes voltage regulation and level shifting, allowing it to be used with 3.3V or 5V systems such as the Metro M4 or Arduino Uno. It also features all pins broken out to standard headers.
