Description

Spin two DC motors or one bi-polar or uni-polar stepper motor with up to 1.2A per channel using the DRV8833. This motor driver chip is an excellent alternative to the TB6612 driver, offering two full H-bridges with built-in current limiting and kick-back diodes for protection. It operates from 2.7V to 10.8V motor power and logic voltage, ideal for low voltage applications.

This breakout board comes assembled and tested with a polarity protection FET on the motor voltage input, and includes a small strip of header for soldering. Suitable for driving motors up to 1.2 Amp continuous current, with a peak current limit of 2A if current limiting is disabled.

  • Can drive two DC motors bi-directionally or one stepper motor
  • Built-in current limiting set to 1A per channel by default
  • Motor and logic voltage: 2.7V to 10.8V
  • Internal kick-back diodes for inductive load protection
  • Polarity protection FET on motor voltage input
  • Includes header pins for soldering
  • Compact size and lightweight (26mm x 18mm x 3mm, 1.5g)

Note: Terminal block color may vary (blue or black). Arduino, motors, and power supply not included.

For higher voltages, consider the TB6612 driver, and for much higher voltages and currents, check out the DRV8871 motor driver.
