Description
The Adafruit Feather 32u4 Radio (RFM69HCW) 433MHz is a compact and lightweight development board that integrates a 433 MHz packet radio transceiver with built-in USB and battery charging capabilities. Powered by the ATmega32u4 microcontroller running at 8 MHz with 3.3V logic, it is ideal for wireless network projects requiring efficient low power consumption and extended range beyond standard 2.4GHz protocols.
This feather-sized board measures 51mm x 23mm x 8mm (2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28") and weighs only 5.5 grams. It includes native USB support, 20 GPIO pins, hardware serial, I2C, SPI, and features an onboard 100mA LiPo charger with a charging status LED. The 433 MHz RFM69HCW radio module provides up to 100 mW power output and a range of approximately 350 meters, enabling multipoint encrypted mesh networking.
Key benefits include:
- ATmega32u4 microcontroller at 8 MHz, 3.3V logic
- Embedded RFM69HCW 433 MHz radio with SPI interface and AES-128 encryption
- Integrated LiPo battery connector and charging circuit for portable applications
- USB bootloader for easy programming and debugging with Arduino IDE
- Multiple GPIO, analog inputs, PWM outputs, and standard interfaces
- Compact feather form factor with convenient mounting holes
The board is fully assembled and tested. Battery and USB cable are not included but available separately. Build long-range wireless projects with ease using this versatile feather radio board.
