Description

The Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM95 LoRa Radio is a compact and lightweight microcontroller board featuring an ATmega32u4 running at 8 MHz with 3.3V logic and power. It integrates an SX1276 LoRa-based module operating at 868 or 915 MHz for long-range, low-power wireless communication.

This board is ideal for projects that require extended wireless range beyond what 2.4GHz solutions (WiFi, Bluetooth LE) can offer, making it perfect for IoT applications and data packet transmission over great distances.

  • Dimensions: 51mm x 23mm x 8mm (2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28")
  • Weight: 5.5 grams
  • Microcontroller: ATmega32u4 @ 8MHz, 3.3V logic
  • Memory: 32KB Flash, 2KB RAM
  • USB native support with bootloader and serial debugging
  • 20 GPIO pins, with hardware serial, I2C, SPI, and PWM support
  • 10 analog inputs
  • Built-in 100mA LiPoly charger with charging indicator LED
  • Power output: +5 to +20 dBm (up to 100 mW) adjustable via software
  • LoRa Radio: SX1276 module for 868 or 915 MHz ISM bands
  • Low power consumption: ~300uA sleep, ~120mA peak TX, ~40mA RX active listening
  • Battery connector for 3.7V LiPoly batteries (battery not included), USB battery charging
  • Includes headers for breadboard compatibility
  • Pin #13 red LED, reset button, power/enable pin, and 4 mounting holes

This board is fully assembled and tested, with ready-to-use Arduino IDE libraries for the LoRa radio module. A small wire antenna must be soldered for radio use.
