Description

The Adafruit Feather nRF52 Pro is a Bluetooth® Low Energy development board designed for advanced users wanting to utilize a fully open-source Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.0 stack. It features the native nRF52832 Bluetooth chip, built-in USB Serial, and battery charging capabilities.

This Feather is programmed with the Mynewt bootloader and includes additional hardware updates such as an SWD connector and an extra DFU button. Unlike other Feather boards, it is not compatible with the Arduino IDE and is intended for use with the Apache Mynewt RTOS, making it suitable for experienced developers.

The board includes a powerful ARM Cortex M4F processor running at 64MHz, 512KB flash, 64KB SRAM, and supports multiple GPIO, ADC, and PWM outputs.

Key Features:

  • ARM Cortex M4F (with hardware floating point) at 64MHz
  • 512KB flash and 64KB SRAM
  • Built-in USB Serial converter for fast programming and debugging
  • Bluetooth® Low Energy compatible 2.4GHz radio
  • FCC / IC / TELEC certified module
  • Up to +4dBm output power
  • 1.7v to 3.3v operation with internal voltage regulators
  • 19 GPIO, 8x12-bit ADC pins, up to 12 PWM outputs
  • Pin #17 red LED for general blinking
  • Power/enable pin
  • Compact size: 2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28" (51mm x 23mm x 8mm)
  • Lightweight at 5.7 grams
  • 4 mounting holes and reset button
  • SWD connector for debugging
  • 100% open source firmware when used with Apache Mynewt

The Feather nRF52 Pro supports Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.0, allowing seamless connectivity with iOS, Android, Mac OS X, and Windows devices. The onboard battery connector supports 3.7V LiPo batteries with automatic charging via microUSB.

This board is ideal for advanced projects requiring a powerful microcontroller and custom Bluetooth LE firmware with Mynewt RTOS.

Note: LiPo battery and MicroUSB cable not included.
