Description
If you want to measure strain gauges or load cells with a Wheatstone bridge configuration, the Adafruit HX711 Breakout is perfect. It features a super-high-resolution 24-bit differential ADC with integrated gain circuitry ideal for precision measurements.
This breakout includes the HX711 ADC chip, support circuitry, and a 6 port terminal block for connecting one or two 4-wire sensors, providing easy hookup for load cells or strain gauges.
Wiring: The E- pad connects to ground, E+ to power, and differential inputs (A- and A+; B- and B+) connect to the sensor outputs. Channel A offers 64x or 128x gain, while Channel B has fixed 32x gain.
The board uses a two-wire serial interface similar to SPI, with selectable data rates of 10SPS or 80SPS controlled via a slide switch.
Use the Adafruit HX711 Arduino library for easy data reading.
