Description
Add short-hop wireless to your Feather with the Adafruit LoRa Radio FeatherWing featuring the RFM95W module at 433 MHz. This LoRa capable radio offers long-range, packetized radio communication ideal for use in Europe ITU 1 license-free ISM or amateur use with restrictions.
This LoRa radio version operates at 433 MHz with a modulation frequency tunable via software. It provides +5 to +20 dBm power output capability, enabling communication over 2 km line of sight with simple wire antennas, and up to 20 km with directional antennas and optimized settings.
- SX127x LoRa® based module featuring SPI interface
- Compatible with Arduino using ready-to-go libraries
- Operates in license-free ISM bands
- Power output selectable up to 100 mW (+20 dBm)
- Ultra low power consumption: ~300µA in sleep, ~120mA peak at full transmit power, ~40mA in active listen mode
- Compatible with Feather ESP8266, Teensy 3 Feather, Feather 32u4, and Feather M0 boards (requires some wiring configuration)
- Includes headers requiring soldering
- Antenna requires a small wire soldered or optional uFL/SMA connector add-ons
Important: Radios communicate only with the same part number (e.g. LoRa 433 MHz to LoRa 433 MHz).
