Description

The Adafruit Metro ESP32-S3 is a powerful and compact development board featuring the ESP32-S3 dual-core 240MHz Tensilica processor, designed for IoT and wearable electronics applications. It supports native USB functions such as keyboard/mouse, MIDI, and disk drive emulation.

This board integrates a WROOM module with FCC/CE certification and is equipped with 16 MB Flash and 8 MB Octal PSRAM, along with 512KB SRAM. It provides versatile power options via USB type C or LiPoly battery with built-in charging capabilities and includes a MAX17048 LiPoly battery monitor chip for voltage and state of charge monitoring over I2C.

Additional features include reset and DFU (BOOT0) buttons, a JTAG 2x5 header for debugging, serial debug output pins, and a STEMMA QT connector for I2C devices with switchable power for low power mode. The onboard LEDs and NeoPixel are designed for controlled power consumption, enabling low power usage at approximately 100uA in deep sleep mode.
