Description
Make a game or robotic controller for any I2C microcontroller or microcomputer with this tiny gamepad breakout board. Featuring a 2-axis thumb joystick and 6 momentary buttons (4 large and 2 small), this compact board communicates via I2C, preserving your device's analog and digital pins.
The gamepad includes an optional interrupt pin to alert your microcontroller when a button is pressed or released, enhancing processing efficiency. It uses the Adafruit seesaw technology, converting analog joystick inputs and button presses into an I2C interface suitable for a wide range of microcontrollers and microcomputers.
Designed with a STEMMA QT connector for easy solderless connections, compatible with SparkFun Qwiic cables and accessories. Two address-select jumpers are available to avoid I2C address conflicts or connect multiple gamepads.
Includes one assembled and programmed gamepad, plus 0.1" header; soldering required if not using STEMMA QT cables.
