Ding dong! The Adafruit PiCowbell DVI Output for Pico is a compact breakout board that enables you to display images and graphics directly from a microcontroller to an HDMI monitor or television via DVI (no audio support).
This DVI output board is the same size and shape as a Raspberry Pi Pico and sockets underneath it for easy integration. Features include a mini HDMI connector, STEMMA QT / Qwiic I2C connector, reset button, and a slide switch for customizable functions.

In Arduino, Adafruit provides a fork of PicoDVI library supporting 320x240 or 400x240 16-bit pixel framebuffers that output 640x480 or 800x480 pixel-doubled video. This library is compatible with AdafruitGFX for easy graphics programming. CircuitPython also supports DVI output but requires significant memory.
Note: The DVI video generation uses one full core, both RP2040 PIOs, and 150K-190K of SRAM, so system resources are heavily utilized.
