Description
The Adafruit Push-button Power Switch is a tidy breakout board that allows you to control a DC power source using a simple tactile button. Featuring a latching analog circuit, the switch toggles power on or off with each press.
- Operates from 3V to 14V DC and supports up to 3A current (note: the P-FET may get hot at continuous 3A draw).
- Low quiescent current of just 0.5uA for minimal power loss.
- Includes a 12mm tactile button switch; users can also solder their own switch.
- On-board red LED indicator lights when power is active.
- Features a 'KILL' pin that can instantly turn off power regardless of button state.
- Comes assembled and tested with four mounting holes and optional 0.1" male header for breadboard use.
- WARNING: This is a solid-state switch with no mechanical air-gap isolation. The internal FET allows current to flow back if the load voltage exceeds input voltage.
Dimensions: 20.51mm x 17.75mm x 2.66mm; Height with switch: 8.69mm; Weight: 2.6g.
