Description
For modern microcontrollers like the RP2040, ESP32, RT10xx, and STM32 series, external QSPI Flash memory is used to save cost and complexity. This breakout board converts the W25Q128JVSSIQ 128-Megabit (16 Megabyte) QSPI Flash memory chip in an 8-SOIC package to a 0.3" wide DIP, perfect for prototyping and breadboarding.
The chip operates at 3.3V logic and power with Quad SPI I/O. It features a permanently set Quad Enable bit for immediate QSPI mode operation, and the 'hold' and 'write protect' pins can be tied to 3.3V if operating in SPI mode. This breakout is ideal for adding external flash memory for code and resource storage.
This product includes a bit of header for soldering and plugging into a breadboard or to replace an existing socketed SPI flash DIP chip.
