Description
Add short-hop wireless to your Feather with the Adafruit Radio FeatherWing featuring the RFM69HCW 433MHz RadioFruit module. This add-on board enables packetized FSK/GFSK/MSK/GMSK/OOK radio communication at 433 MHz on the license-free ISM band, suitable for Europe ITU 1 and amateur use depending on local regulations.
The RFM69HCW module is a +20dBm FSK packet radio with built-in encryption and auto-retransmit. It offers a range of approximately 350 meters line-of-sight with simple wire antennas, and up to 5 kilometers with directional antennas and proper tuning. It allows multipoint networks with unique node addresses.
- SX1231 based module with SPI interface
- Compatible with Arduino via ready-to-go libraries
- Power output selectable in software from +13 to +20 dBm (up to 100 mW)
- Current draw ranges from 50mA (+13 dBm) to 150mA (+20 dBm) during transmission
- Encrypted packet engine with AES-128 support
- Works with Feather ESP8266, Teensy 3 Feather, WICED Feather, Feather 32u4, and Feather M0 series with some wiring
- Includes headers; soldering required to attach headers and antenna wire
