Key features include:
- Ultra-bright 1.2" 8x8 yellow/orange matrix display
- Easy-to-use I2C interface with selectable 7-bit addresses (0x70-0x77)
- Three address-selection jumpers allow connecting up to eight matrices or combination displays on one bus
- Fully tested and assembled backpack requires minimal soldering to attach the matrix
- Compatible with STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for solderless connections
The kit includes the fully assembled LED backpack, the 1.2" 8x8 yellow/orange LED matrix, and a 4-pin header for easy connections. Minimal soldering is needed to attach the matrix to the backpack.
Adafruit provides a detailed tutorial, example wiring diagrams, and a supporting library to quickly get started with displaying images or numbers on your matrix display.
