Description
The Adafruit TLV320DAC3100 is an I2S DAC breakout board providing stereo headphone and mono speaker output, ideal for all-in-one audio projects without an external amplifier.
This breakout delivers clean, excellent-quality stereo audio directly to 16Ω headphones and 4Ω-8Ω speakers. It supports 3-5V power input and requires I2C configuration using a microcontroller with Arduino, CircuitPython, or Python libraries.
Features include a built-in PLL to generate MCLK from BCLK, headphone audio output that is AC-coupled, and a class-D amplifier for the speaker output. Additional pins provide microphone bias, headset detection, and audio mixing options.
- Stereo Audio DAC with 95 dB SNR
- Sample rates from 8 kHz to 192 kHz
- Stereo headphone/line out and mono class-D speaker outputs
- 2.5 W into 4Ω or 1.6 W into 8Ω speaker driver
- Microphone bias and headphone detection
- 25 built-in digital audio processing blocks with filters and DRC
- Programmable PLL and multiple audio interface formats including I2S
- I2C control with register auto-increment
- Dimensions: 33.7mm x 25.4mm x 7.1mm
- Weight: 4.0g
Each order includes one TLV320DAC3100 breakout board and headers for breadboard use.
