Description

The Adafruit TSSP77038 is a 38KHz infrared demodulator breakout board featuring the Vishay TSSP770 series chip, ideal for proximity sensing, break-beam projects, and IR detection.

Unlike more complex IR remote control receivers, this breakout offers a simpler output of the demodulated 38KHz signal, making it suitable for applications where minimal IR signal filtering is required.

Designed for reflective sensing, light barriers, and fast proximity applications, this board is perfect for projects that require IR light modulation detection without interference from ambient light or other IR signals.

The board includes mounting holes and utilizes a 2mm pitch STEMMA JST PH connector for easy wiring without soldering. Compatible with STEMMA JST PH 2mm 3-pin cables available separately.

  • Simple IR demodulator output from 38KHz signals
  • STEMMA JST PH 2mm connector for easy plug-and-play wiring
  • Compact dimensions: 25.4mm x 17.8mm x 7.2mm
  • Lightweight, only 1.9g
  • Mounting holes included for easy integration
  • Suitable for break-beam, proximity sensing, and IR modulation detection projects

Note: This board lacks a code filtering mechanism, so it may output spurious IR signals; it is optimized for proximity detection rather than IR remote decoding.
