This heat sink is made from high quality aluminum and is perfect for Raspberry Pi 3 or 4, which can run a little hot. It comes with thermal adhesive already applied to the back making installation super easy. Simply clean the surface of the chip of any dust or grease, then peel off the protective film and press the heat sink firmly onto the chip.

This heat sink can be used with any of our injection molded Adafruit Pi B+/2/3 enclosures, but it may not fit with other enclosures and most HATs will not fit on top with the heat sink installed.

Performance test shows that with this heat sink installed, a Raspberry Pi 3 can run at 1.16GHz compared to 0.96GHz without, providing 20% higher performance.
