Description
Feather is the new development board from Adafruit, designed to be thin, light, and portable. The Assembled Adafruit Feather M0 WiFi w/ATWINC1500 combines an Arduino-compatible ATSAMD21 ARM Cortex M0 processor and a high speed, reliable WiFi module with built-in USB and battery charging.
This FCC-certified WiFi module from Atmel supports 802.11b/g/n networks with WEP, WPA, and WPA2 encryption, Soft AP mode, SSL TSL 1.2, and low power management, making it perfect for networking your portable IoT devices.
The Feather M0 features an ATSAMD21G18 Cortex M0 processor clocked at 48 MHz with 256KB FLASH and 32KB SRAM, USB native support with built-in bootloader, battery charging circuit for 3.7V LiPo batteries, and a rich set of GPIO and communication pins.
- Dimensions: 2.1" x 0.9" x 0.3" (53.65mm x 23mm x 8mm), 0.1" longer than most Feathers
- 6.1 grams weight
- ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor @ 48 MHz, 3.3V logic
- 256KB Flash, 32KB SRAM, No EEPROM
- 3.3V regulator with 600mA peak output (WiFi can draw 300mA peak)
- USB bootloader and serial debug support
- 20 GPIO pins, hardware Serial, I2C, SPI
- 8 PWM pins, 10 analog inputs, 1 analog output
- Built-in 200mA lipoly battery charger with status LED
- Power/enable pin, reset button, 4 mounting holes
- Pin #13 red LED for status
The WiFi module runs independently of the processor, allowing quick and reliable network streams without impacting microcontroller performance. Compatible with Arduino IDE but does not support CircuitPython or MicroPython.
Note: Lithium polymer batteries and MicroUSB cables are not included but available separately.
