Description
The BeagleBone Black Rev C is a powerful embedded computer featuring a 1GHz Sitara AM3358 processor and 512MB DDR3 RAM. It offers two 46-pin headers, micro HDMI for audio/video output, USB ports, 10/100 Ethernet, and various I/O features, all packed into a compact form factor that can fit in a mint tin.
Significant Upgrades:
- 4GB onboard eMMC storage - double the capacity of the Rev B's 2GB
- Faster eMMC storage allowing the board to ship with Debian Linux pre-installed instead of Angstrom Linux
This makes the BeagleBone Black Rev C more user-friendly and ready to use out of the box. The board is open hardware, allowing installation of other Linux distributions like Angstrom, Ubuntu, or Android.
The board is powered via a mini-B USB cable included in the package. An SD card is not required as the board uses onboard flash storage.
Additional recommended accessories include a 5V 2A power supply, micro-HDMI cable, and a USB console cable for headless operation.
