Description

The Espruino Pico is a tiny USB stick featuring a powerful STM32F401CDU6 ARM Cortex microcontroller pre-programmed with Espruino JavaScript interpreter, allowing you to control electronics quickly and easily using JavaScript.

Despite being compact (15mm x 33mm x 3mm) and lightweight (2g), the Espruino Pico offers a versatile set of features suitable for embedded projects:

  • 22 GPIO pins: 9 analog inputs, 21 PWM, 2 serial, 3 SPI, and 3 I2C
  • All GPIO pins are 3.3V logic level but 5 volt tolerant
  • Two rows of nine 0.1" pins, plus a third 0.05" row of 8 pins on the end for flexible connectivity
  • On-board USB PCB-type connector for plug-and-play on any computer USB port
  • Two onboard LEDs and one button for user interaction
  • On-board 3.3V 250mA voltage regulator supporting input voltages from 3.5V to 16V
  • Extremely low current draw in sleep mode: less than 0.05mA, enabling over 2.5 years of battery life on a 2500mAh battery
  • On-board FET allows driving high-current outputs

The Espruino Pico is designed for instant code execution and rapid development cycles, making it easy to experiment and debug JavaScript code running directly on the microcontroller.

The pico is also easy to integrate into your projects thanks to its castellated PCB edges, allowing for surface mounting, and provided Eagle CAD footprint files.

Note: This product is no longer stocked by Adafruit. Consider the Espruino Puck.js v2 as an alternative.
