Description
Introducing the FeatherS2 Neo - a full-featured ESP32-S2-based development board in the Feather format by Unexpected Maker. This powerful board features a 32-bit 240 MHz single-core processor, 4 MB of SPI Flash memory, and an additional 2 MB of QSPI-based external PSRAM for extensive firmware and file storage capabilities.
The FeatherS2 Neo includes onboard LiPo battery charging, a high-current 700mA 3.3V regulator, and a unique 5x5 RGB LED matrix with a user-controlled low-dropout regulator to prevent interference with the board's other functions. It offers 22 GPIO pins and is designed with optimized power management for low-power battery use. The board also boasts USB-C connectivity, a STEMMA QT/Qwiic chainable I2C connector for easy sensor and accessory integration, and onboard RGB LEDs including power, charge, and status indicators.
This development board ships with a UF2 bootloader and supports CircuitPython, allowing it to appear as a USB flash drive when connected to a computer for quick and easy code deployment and updates. Additionally, it supports ESP-IDF and Arduino environments for C++ programming.
