Description
The "poor woman's" Raspberry Pi cobbler! This IDC Breakout Helper combines a 2x13 pin (0.1 inch spaced) header and socket designed for use with a Raspberry Pi GPIO Ribbon Cable (Model A and B).
The breakout helper comes in two parts: a 'pin-through' socket that straddles the center of a breadboard or Perma-Proto board, and a male header that plugs into the top of the socket. It provides an easy and cost-effective way to prototype with IDC cables, which are standard but often difficult to use with breadboards. Best results are achieved when soldered in place, although some have used it successfully with solderless breadboards.
Each order includes one socket and one header. Breadboard, Perma-Proto, and IDC cable are not included.
Available helpers for other pin configurations: 2x20, 2x16, 2x8, 2x5, and 2x3 pins.
- Compatible with 26-pin IDC ribbon cables
- Includes both socket and header
- Ideal for prototyping on breadboards and Perma-Proto boards
- Compact dimensions and lightweight
