Description

Add precise line following to your autonomous robotic buggy projects with the Kitronik Autonomous Robotics Platform Line Follower Board. No soldering is required as the board features a 0.1” (2.54mm) pitch pin header compatible with standard prototype breadboards and strip-boards.

The board features 3 phototransistor sensors (Left, Centre, Right) that detect reflected light intensity to produce an analogue output voltage readable by microprocessor ADC channels such as Raspberry Pi Pico, Arduino, or BBC micro:bit.

  • Add precise line following to your robot/buggy projects.
  • No soldering required, easy to connect.
  • Standard 0.1” (2.54mm) pitch pin header for breadboard compatibility.
  • Example MicroPython line following code for Raspberry Pi Pico available on GitHub.
  • Compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico, Arduino, and BBC micro:bit.
  • Featured in the Kitronik Autonomous Robotics Platform for Raspberry Pi Pico.

Contents:

  • 1 x Kitronik Autonomous Robotics Platform – Line Follower Board

Dimensions:

  • Length: 24.5 mm
  • Width: 14.5 mm
  • Height (without pins): 5.95 mm
  • PCB Thickness: 1.6 mm

Electrical Requirements: 3V to 5V supply (nominal 3.3V) and ground connection via pin header.

Sensor Outputs: Voltage varies from supply voltage to 0V; typical light surface ~0.5V and typical dark surface ~2.5V (at 3V supply).
