Description

The Kitronik Interface Board for micro:bit and Fischertechnik provides an alternative method to control motors and components of Fischertechnik STEM kits.

This board runs from a 9V PP3 battery, producing a regulated 3V supply to power the BBC micro:bit, and includes a power switch. It features plated holes for Fischertechnik plugs to connect components and is designed to slot onto the Fischertechnik base plate.

The board has 2 Input/Output pins and 2 switch inputs each paired with 0V connection, plus 2 pairs of motor connections allowing bidirectional motor control. The micro:bit plugs directly into the edge connector and can be inserted facing either direction.

Status LEDs indicate activity on pins 0, 1, 2, 3, and motor outputs, providing visual troubleshooting and testing without needing to connect motors.

Custom MakeCode blocks and MicroPython example code are provided for easy integration.
