Description
The Kitronik Light Activated Switch is an electronic kit that detects ambient brightness and acts as an automated on/off switch for various devices. It uses a phototransistor to sense light levels, controlling an output with a Darlington pair transistor configuration that can handle up to half an amp of current. This kit is ideal for projects like garden lights that turn on automatically at night, drawer alarms, or line following robots.
The kit requires soldering and includes a PCB with space to add an LED and current limiting resistor (sold separately).
