Description
Develop your coding skills with the Kitronik :MOVE Motor for micro:bit, a fun and educational introduction to buggy robotics. This kit offers more than just a programmable buggy; it provides a solid foundation in robotics, including movement, light and sound utilization, obstacle detection and avoidance, and line-following capabilities.
The buggy is equipped with two bi-directional DC motors with variable speed control, rubber tires on simple push-fit wheels, built-in battery holders for 4x AA batteries that supply regulated voltage to power the BBC micro:bit, and a power switch to conserve battery life when not in use. The micro:bit plugs into the onboard edge connector, enabling easy program upload and play.
It features ultrasonic distance and line-following sensors, a piezo sounder, a pen mount, and four full-color programmable ZIP LEDs. Also included are two-pin outputs ideal for servo connections or other I/O uses. Coding is made easier with Kitronik custom MakeCode blocks, and MicroPython support is available with example code on GitHub.
