Description
Bring a little bit of Times Square into your home with this 16 x 32 RGB LED matrix panel. These panels are often used to create video walls and display animations or short video clips. The panel features 512 bright RGB LEDs arranged in a 16x32 grid.
On the back, a PCB includes two IDC connectors (input and output for chaining panels) and 12 16-bit latches allowing for a 1:8 scan rate.
RAM & Processor Requirements: This display requires about 1600 bytes of RAM to buffer the 12-bit color image. It cannot be used with low-RAM microcontrollers like the Arduino UNO or ATmega32u4 and performs best with high-speed, high-RAM processors such as SAMD21, SAMD51, or ESP32. These panels can be chained together if the host controller has sufficient RAM and speed.
Power Requirements: Up to 4A per panel may be needed. A 5V regulated 4A power supply is recommended.
Connection Requirements: 13 GPIO pins are required for control. It is recommended to use compatible controller boards or adapters such as the Matrix Portal ESP32-S3, Matrix Portal with SAMD51, RGB Matrix Shield, RGB Matrix FeatherWings, or RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi.
Important Note: These are remainder stock panels from factories and may vary slightly in look and size between batches.
