Description
The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 with Header is the latest update from the Raspberry Pi Foundation, featuring the RP2350 microcontroller, a high-performance and secure dual-core processor. This board offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor, the RP2040, with improved clock speed, doubled SRAM to 520KB, increased flash memory to 4MB, more powerful Arm Cortex-M33 cores, and enhanced security features including TrustZone and hardware random number generation.
This version comes with pre-soldered 40-pin headers for easy prototyping and integration. The dual-core RP2350 supports both Arm Cortex-M33 and RISC-V Hazard3 processor architectures, allowing flexibility for developers. It's compatible with C/C++ and CircuitPython/MicroPython programming environments.
Key features include:
- Dual Arm Cortex-M33 or dual RISC-V Hazard3 processors running at 150MHz
- 520KB on-chip SRAM
- 4MB on-board QSPI flash memory
- 26 multi-purpose GPIO pins including 4 ADC inputs
- Peripherals: 2 UARTs, 2 SPI controllers, 2 I2C controllers, 24 PWM channels, USB 1.1 with host and device support
- 12 programmable I/O (PIO) state machines
- Secure boot and hardware security features with TrustZone, SHA-256 acceleration, TRNG
- Input power range from 1.8 V to 5.5 V DC
- Operating temperature from -20°C to +85°C
The Pico 2 with Header offers enhanced performance and security for IoT, education, and embedded applications while maintaining full hardware and software compatibility with previous Raspberry Pi Pico boards.
Note: This product uses the RP2350 A2 revision, which currently has an E9 erratum affecting GPIO and PIO behaviors.
