Description
This small 14mm diameter piezo element is enclosed for easy attachment. Piezo elements convert vibration to voltage or voltage to vibration, making them suitable as buzzers for beeps, tones, and alerts as well as sensors to detect fast movements like knocks. It can also be used as a drum or crash sensor under a drum pad.
It is rated for up to 9Vpp use and can be driven with 3V square waves for ample sound volume. Thin wires are attached and can be plugged into solderless breadboards, though they may be too thin for direct Arduino socket header connections.
For usage guidance, see the Arduino Tone tutorial and the Knock tutorial.
