SMT Socket - Wide SOIC-8 (200mil) - Wieson G6179-10

This SMT socket is designed for any SOIC/SOP Wide-body 8 pin chip with a 200mil body width. Simply flip open the latch, insert the chip, and flip down the latch to secure it in place.

The chip is held securely against gold fingers in the socket. The socket footprint matches the SOIC footprint, allowing soldering onto existing PCBs if clearance is available for the socket body.

Note: 150mil wide chips will not fit. These sockets are primarily for flash chips.
