Description
These hinged momentary step switches are evocative of the 16-step sequencer keys on TR-808 synthesizers. Very tactile with a good clicky feel, each switch has a built-in red LED that indicates on/off status or provides visual feedback when clicked.
Each switch has four legs for mechanical stability and functions as a momentary SPDT switch with two common pins connecting to one of the two throws when pressed. Note that these switches are not breadboard or perf-board friendly and require hand wiring or PCB design.
The embedded red LED is a 3mm, 20mA max, 2.1V forward voltage LED with no built-in resistor. A ~1K resistor is recommended to prevent LED burnout. You can PWM dim the LED from a microcontroller pin or connect it directly to a digital output.
- Three gray plastic step switches with red LED included
- Dimensions per button: 17mm x 12mm x 14mm
- Momentary SPDT switch with four legs for stability
- 3mm red LED (20mA max, 2.1V forward voltage) without resistor included
- Requires external resistor (approximately 1K ohm) for LED protection
- Not suitable for breadboards or perf boards—hand wiring or PCB soldering required
Perfect for use in tactile control applications, retro sequencers, and visual feedback projects.
