Description
The VL53L5CX 8x8 Time of Flight (ToF) Array Sensor Breakout is a sophisticated distance sensor equipped with 8x8 multizone ranging and a wide 63° diagonal field of view, making it ideal for robotics and advanced motion sensing applications.
This sensor measures distance by emitting low-powered infrared lasers that provide accurate and fast sampling rates up to 60 Hz with a detection range from 2cm to 4 meters. A unique feature is the ability to return an 8x8 grid of distance readings, allowing for precise object tracking, movement direction detection, and enhanced collision avoidance without needing multiple sensors.
The breakout is compatible with the Breakout Garden system and features Qw/ST compatibility for seamless connection with various microcontrollers and HATs supporting Qwiic or STEMMA QT connectors.
