Description
A ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) Socket allows for easy insertion and removal of chips from existing circuits without damage. It is perfect for use with chip programmers or testing purposes. Simply move the lever up to insert or remove a chip, and move it down to latch the chip securely in place.
This socket accommodates DIP chips up to 28 pins and 0.3" wide. It can snap directly into an existing circuit board or socket designed for the chip, avoiding the need for redesigning your board. For instance, it can be snapped into an Arduino socket, enabling easy chip swapping. If using with a shield, stacking headers may be needed.
- Fits up to 28-pin DIP chips (0.3" wide)
- Overall size: 0.6" x 2" x 0.43" (15mm x 50mm x 11mm) excluding lever and pins
- Pin spacing: 0.3" with pins 3.6mm (0.15") long
- RoHS compliant
Perfect for makers and professionals needing reliable chip programming or testing solutions.
