Description

Add some jazz & pizazz to your project with a color touchscreen LCD. This TFT display is really big (3.2" diagonal), bright (6 white-LED backlight), and colorful! With 240x320 pixels and individual RGB pixel control, this display offers far more resolution than a black and white 128x64 display. It features a resistive touchscreen attached, allowing you to detect finger presses anywhere on the screen.

The display includes a built-in controller with RAM buffering, minimizing microcontroller workload. It supports two modes: 8-bit and SPI. The 8-bit mode requires 8 digital data lines and 4 or 5 digital control lines (12 total), while SPI mode requires only 5 pins but is slower. For touchscreen operation, 4 pins (2 digital, 2 analog) are required, or you can optionally use a resistive touchscreen controller (not included) for I2C or SPI interface.

This breakout board provides SPI connections on one end and 8-bit on the other, both 3-5V compliant with high-speed level shifters for broad compatibility. In SPI mode, the onboard MicroSD card socket can be used to display images (microSD card not included).

Comprehensive open source graphics libraries are available for 8-bit and SPI modes, along with a dedicated touchscreen library that detects x, y, and z (pressure). Step-by-step guides and example code help you get up and running quickly.
