Description
This breakout board is designed for 'dot-clock' 40-pin TFT displays that require continuous clocking of RGB pixel data. It features a 40-pin Flex PCB (FPC) connector and a TPS61169-based backlight driver with adjustable current, allowing for easy breadboard use.
The backlight driver defaults to 25mA and can boost up to 24VDC for up to 7-LED strings. Users should consult their display datasheet for string configuration and can increase backlight current by shorting jumpers.
This product comes with one assembled and tested PCB; header and TFT display are not included. Compatible displays include 4.3" with touchscreen and 5.0" displays with or without touchscreen.
Note: No tutorial is provided; advanced users with microprocessors capable of dot-clock-type TFT support will find this breakout useful as a wiring tool.
