Description
Experience the power of low-power, daylight visible eInk technology with the 5.83" Monochrome Black/White EPD Bare Display featuring the UC8179 chipset. This electronic paper display offers 648x480 black ink pixels on a white-ish background, perfect for DIY eInk projects that maintain their image even when powered off.
Please note: this is the bare display element and requires connection to a compatible driver board with a 24-pin FPC e-paper connector. Recommended driver boards include:
- Feather RP2040 ThinkInk - solderless plug-and-play solution with Arduino and CircuitPython support.
- eInk Feather Friend - FeatherWing add-on for any Feather board.
- eInk Breakout Friend - breadboard-friendly adapter for quick eInk connectivity.
- 24-pin eInk / ePaper Extension Cable combined with 24-pin FPC adapter for extended placement of your eInk display.
The display uses the UC8179 chipset, and Arduino libraries are available for straightforward integration, providing compatibility with Adafruit_GFX.
