Description
This 7.0" TFT display features an 800x480 pixel resolution, LED backlight, and a 4-wire resistive touchscreen overlay, ideal for projects requiring a spacious and vibrant display with touch input. The display utilizes a 40-pin connector providing 24-bit color capability through 8 pins each for red, green, and blue.
Commonly found in consumer electronics such as miniature TVs, GPS units, handheld games, and car displays, this panel requires constant refreshing at 60Hz and specific timing signals, making it best suited to be paired with the Adafruit RA8875 driver board to handle its video RAM and timing needs. It is compatible with microcontrollers such as Arduino when used with this driver board. Users looking to control it via HDMI or DVI should consider the TFP401 driver board.
Note: This is a 'raw pixel-dot-clock' display without SPI or parallel controller or onboard RAM. The backlight demands a 125-150mA constant-current boost converter running up to 9V.
