One segment? No way dude! 7-Segments for life! This is the Yellow Adafruit 0.56" 4-Digit 7-Segment Display w/ FeatherWing Combo Pack! We also offer this combo pack in Blue, Green, Red, and White.

The 7-segment matrices are multiplexed, requiring many pins to control if done directly. The FeatherWing backpack simplifies this by using an HT16K33 matrix driver chip that handles multiplexing, letting you control the display using only I2C commands. This reduces wiring complexity and pin use. The FeatherWing works with any Feather board and shares the I2C pins with other sensors or displays.

This product kit includes:

• A fully tested and assembled Adafruit 4-Digit 7-Segment LED Matrix Display FeatherWing
• Ultra-bright 4-digit 0.56" tall yellow seven-segment display
• Two 16-pin headers

A bit of soldering is required to attach the matrix onto the FeatherWing, which is quick and easy (about 5 minutes). For detailed instructions including assembly, pinouts, and usage in Arduino and CircuitPython, see our product tutorial.

Since June 17, 2025, the product has STEMMA QT / Qwiic compatible connectors for easy plug-and-play without soldering, using STEMMA QT adapter cables (sold separately).
