Description

Say hello to our 0.96" 160x80 Color TFT Display with MicroSD Card Breakout – a very small yet vivid display with 160x80 pixel color resolution. This compact 0.96" diagonal display features RGB pixels for creating small high-density images and text.

The display communicates via 4-wire SPI and incorporates a pixel-addressable frame buffer, making it compatible with various microcontrollers, even those with limited memory and pins.

Unlike low-cost CSTN type displays, this true TFT (ST7735R driver) offers full 16-bit color. The breakout includes the TFT display soldered on, an ultra-low-dropout 3.3V regulator, a 3/5V level shifter for compatibility with different logic voltages, and a microSD card holder for loading bitmaps from FAT16/FAT32 formatted cards (microSD card not included).

Note that as of January 27, 2023, this product has been revised requiring firmware updates due to changes in initialization code and microSD holder design. The new PCB includes a legible silkscreen and is plug-in compatible with previous versions but needs updated code.
