Description
Say hello to our new Newxie 1.14" 240x135 Color TFT Display Boards– we think it's T-F-T errific! This ultra-compact 1.14" diagonal display offers glorious 240x135 high-resolution pixel color and is packed with RGB pixels for very small, high-density visuals.
The breakout board is designed for compact stacking on a 0.1" grid with a vertical arrangement inspired by old-school nixie tubes. It uses plain SPI (Clock, Data In, Chip Select, Data/Command) communication and features its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, suitable for use with microcontrollers including low memory and limited pins.
This 1.14" IPS display boasts excellent color fidelity up to 80 degrees off-axis in any direction. It uses the ST7789 TFT driver, and Adafruit offers an Arduino library and CircuitPython/Python support to easily draw pixels, lines, shapes, text, and bitmaps.
The display is minimalistic with only 7 pins required for control and backlight. Two rows of pre-soldered 7-pin right-angle headers provide mechanical stability and easy stacking. An ultra-low-dropout 3.3V regulator and a 3/5V level shifter are included, allowing compatibility with 3.3V or 5V logic such as Arduino, ESP32, RP2040, or Raspberry Pi.
