Description
This is a 1.54" 240x240 16-bit full color IPS TFT display module featuring an ST7789 driver. It delivers wide viewing angles up to 80 degrees off-axis with vivid color reproduction, making it ideal for advanced DIY projects that require a bright and colorful display.
Note: This is the bare display module only; no PCB is included. This module is perfect for experts who want to integrate the display into their own hardware designs.
The ST7789 TFT driver is similar to the popular ST7735 and is supported by Adafruit's Arduino library, allowing you to draw pixels, lines, shapes, text, and bitmaps, along with wiring tutorials and example code.
The display communicates via 4-wire SPI and has its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, suitable for use with a wide range of microcontrollers.
Important: This display was originally designed for use in smart watches, which have a glass cover to hold the backlight in place. Without a protective cover, the backlight may peel away from the TFT over time. To prevent this, use a plastic or glass overlay, or secure the display edges with a small amount of craft glue or tape.
You will need a 22-pin 0.5mm pitch bottom contact FPC connector (e.g., Molex 5051102291) for use with this display.
