Description
Control up to 12 channels of 16-bit PWM output with precision using the Adafruit TLC59711 breakout board. This high-resolution PWM board is ideal for LED control but not suitable for driving servos.
Features include:
- 12 separate channels of 16-bit PWM output for precise LED brightness control
- SPI interface requiring only two digital pins (DIN and CLK) for communication
- Completely chainable design to extend control to multiple boards for large LED arrays
- Constant current output with one resistor to set current, ensuring consistent LED brightness even with power supply dips
- Supports V+ anode supply voltage up to 17V
- On-chip 3.3V regulator included for logic level regulation if needed
- Includes green power-good LED, four mounting holes, current-set resistor, and 0.1" header pins for easy breadboard integration
Power the board with 5-17V DC and connect the ground to the common ground. Send 3-5V logic SPI data on DIN and CLK pins to control the LEDs. Use the Adafruit Arduino library to get started with example code.
Note: There's a silkscreen typo where the second R0 should be labeled R1.
