Description
If you'd like a compact display, with buttons and a joystick - we've got what you're looking for. The Adafruit 128x64 OLED Bonnet for Raspberry Pi is the big sister to our mini PiOLED add-on. This version has 128x64 pixels and a much larger screen.
With the OLED display in the center, there is a 5-way joystick and two pushbuttons on either side, ideal for control interfaces for your project.
The 1.3" diagonal OLED display features 128x64 individual white pixels that emit their own light, providing high contrast and no need for a backlight, which reduces power consumption and improves display crispness.
Note: This display is too small to act as a primary display for the Raspberry Pi (e.g., it can't replace the HDMI screen). It is intended to be used with software such as pygame for drawing or text output.
Using the display and controls in Python is easy with the provided SSD1306 OLED library. The joystick and buttons connect to GPIO pins. Example code supports drawing images, text, and animations with up to 15 FPS update rates.
Comes fully assembled and tested, compatible with all Raspberry Pi models including Pi 1, B+, Pi 2, 3, 4, 5, and Pi Zero.
