Description
By popular request, you can now get our 14-segment LED backpacks without the LEDs! These backpacks feature an HT16K33 I2C LED driver, making them simple and easy to use. You can utilize the Adafruit LED Backpack Library to get running in under half an hour with numbers and letters displaying.
Like other LED backpacks, these are end-to-end stackable. By soldering the address jumpers on the back, you can have up to 8 backpacks sharing the same two I2C wires.
This revised board matches the previous size and pinout but includes two STEMMA QT connectors compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, allowing solderless connections between your development board and the HT16K33 or chaining with other compatible sensors and accessories using a compatible cable.
It comes fully tested and assembled with the LED backpack and a 4-pin header; light soldering is required if you want to use it on a breadboard. Note that a set of two 2-digit 0.54" tall alphanumeric displays are not included but available in the store.
