Description

Analog switches provide a solid-state alternative to mechanical relays, featuring lower power consumption and no mechanical wear. The Adafruit ADG729 Dual 1-to-4 Analog Matrix Switch breakout board lets you easily connect two sets of four analog signals using an I2C interface, similar to eight mechanical switches.

This breakout features the ADG729 chip which allows bidirectional switching of analog signals up to 5V. It supports multiple independent switches within a matrix arrangement, permitting combinations of signals as needed.

  • I2C interface for channel selection
  • Two sets of four channels (DA and DB pins)
  • Fast switch time (~100nS) with break-before-make guarantee
  • Suitable for analog signals up to 5V; requires power supply higher than the highest signal voltage
  • Not designed to switch signals below ground or provide power beyond a few mA
  • STEMMA QT connectors for easy solderless connection and chaining
  • I2C address adjustable via address pins (0x44 to 0x47)

Use this switch for routing analog signals efficiently in your electronics projects, taking advantage of its compact STEMMA QT form factor and low on-resistance.
