Description
The Adafruit ADS7128 8-Channel ADC and GPIO Expander is a versatile I2C expander that combines the capabilities of both an ADC and a GPIO expander. It features the ADS7128, which can run on 3.3 or 5V logic and power, with all 8 I/O pins configurable for 12-bit SAR analog input, push-pull or open drain digital output, or digital input. This makes it ideal for adding more pins or analog/open-drain outputs to a microcontroller or microcomputer.

Key Features
- 8 channels configurable as analog inputs, digital inputs, or digital outputs
- Open-drain, push-pull digital outputs
- Programmable thresholds per channel
- Wide operating ranges: AVDD 2.35 V to 5.5 V, DVDD 1.65 V to 5.5 V
- I2C interface up to 3.4 MHz
- 16-bit true RMS output
- Zero-crossing-detect module
