Description
Give your Feather project a lift with the Adafruit AirLift FeatherWing – a FeatherWing that lets you use the powerful ESP32 as a WiFi co-processor.
This board connects to your favorite Feather (like the Feather M4) to add WiFi capabilities using the ESP32 chip that manages WiFi connections and secure data transfers with pre-burned root certificates. It simplifies your code by handling WiFi separately, freeing your main microcontroller from the heavy lifting of connecting and managing secure network communication.
Key features include:
- High-speed 8MHz SPI data transfer interface
- Compatibility with 3V or 5V Arduino boards from ATmega328 upwards, optimal with SAMD51 or Cortex M4 boards
- Works seamlessly with CircuitPython and Arduino
- Separate 3.3V regulator and tri-state MISO chip for SPI bus sharing
- Pre-programmed firmware compatible with Adafruit's ESP32 SPI WiFi co-processor CircuitPython library
- STEMMA QT connector for easy sensor and peripheral connectivity
The AirLift FeatherWing comes fully assembled and tested, with headers included for soldering. It is recommended to use it with SAMD51 or Cortex M4 boards for best performance, especially in CircuitPython. Note that it is not compatible with ESP8266 or ESP32 Feather boards which already have built-in WiFi. Enterprise WiFi support is not available at this time.
